Robust regulation not only protects the environment but also establishes a level playing field across our sector – supporting investment in infrastructure and deterring criminals.

Understanding and responding to regulatory requirements can be a complex task. At the ESA, we support our members by liaising closely with the regulatory authorities in England and the devolved administrations to inform, understand and interpret existing and emerging regulatory requirements before briefing our members through a range of channels.

Unfortunately, criminality continues to pervade our sector. This damages the environment and undermines investment in legitimate infrastructure. The ESA strongly supports the regulatory authorities in their fight against waste crime and you can find more about these efforts below.
