The ESA is an affiliate of Resource Recovery UK (RRUK), which is an alliance of UK energy recovery facility operators, all of which are ESA members.

The purpose of RRUK is to promote the essential role of EfW in the UK’s circular economy and its contribution to a greener future for communities across the UK.

Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, RRUK strives for resource recovery that supports sustainable growth and decarbonisation.

In its Manifesto for a Sustainable, Circular Future, RRUK presents a number of case studies demonstrating sustainability best practice across energy recovery operations, alongside policy proposals for the future of the industry – helping to unlock the maximum societal benefits.
