DESCRIPTION:This EA webinar / Teams Meeting is for all operators of waste incinerators and co-incinerators\, and will cover the Environment Agency’s (EA’s) approach to auditing start-up and shut-down definitions (an EA regulatory priority for 2025-26). \nOperators in Scotland\, Wales and Northern Ireland are also welcome to attend (as the other UK regulators will be taking a similar approach).  \nThe webinar will be recorded\, with a link to the recording circulated afterwards for any operators who were unable to attend (and for future reference). \nThe webinar will cover the following: \n\nBasic principles of defining start-up & shut-down examples as set out in Environment Agency guidance on deriving start-up and shut-down definitions for waste incinerators and co-incinerators (circulated to operators on 11/12/24 and attached to this invite).\nThe current versions of the OTNOC Management Plan template and start-up & shut-down definitions audit template (circulated to operators on 21/08/25 and attached to this invite).\nTips for ensuring a successful audit\nA high-level run through of some case study examples of agreed start-up & shut-down definitions for:\n\nMunicipal EfW plants\nA waste wood co-incinerator\nA clinical waste incinerator\n\n\nQuestion & answer session\n\nPlease follow the link below to download the calendar entry and add to your calendar to access the webinar
